LET'S GOOOOOOO!!!

LET'S GOOOOOOO!!!

We love the World Cup! So many of us united in our love of the game.

Despite our national divides, cultures, customs, languages, we are together and everything FEELS okay.

Even if only for a moment.

Because as we imagine you’ve noticed,

THE WORLD HAS GONE CRAZY

We’ve become so familiar with global conflict, terrorism, corrupt politicians, religious nationalism, gun violence, abuse of power, misinformation, greed, economic failure, pandemics, racism, xenophobia, poverty, abuse, gender inequality, and so many other causes of despair.

The world is broken.
We all feel it.

BUT It
doesn’t
have
to be
this way

We can’t carry on like this.

The world is broken.
And so are we.

There is an epidemic of loneliness and anxiety. We have never been more “connected” and somehow never more alone. Feelings of uncertainty and fear have become the new normal. As pain, sadness, and emotional exhaustion keep spreading, so does our despair. We feel hopeless with all this suffering. And we are left just trying to make sense of it all.

There is something about the human experience that leaves us searching for something different, for something bigger than all this.

A better way to be human.

JESUS SAID THERE IS MORE THAN THIS

And we believe him.

Jesus stepped into our story, into our human experience, to put an end to suffering and death.

Now we know that sounds strange because suffering and death are still very real. But what Jesus established was the beginning of a new way of life, both in the future and the present. What this means is that while suffering and death are still so deeply felt, there is a way out.

To many, that future place is most commonly known as “heaven.” But that future is not just some abstract, distant reality. It is available here and now. When we suffer, Jesus offers relief. When death finds us, Jesus promises life.

Just as Jesus lived, died, and came back to life, he offers us the same.

Jesus offers us a new way to be human.

THIS IS THE making of
a new humanitY

This new humanity is also known as the “Kingdom of God.”

where all people from every culture, custom, and language are unified together IN LOVE.

We belong to a Kingdom, not defined by military control or political gain, but by sacrifice. A Kingdom where Jesus didn’t lead a violent rebellion of power, but a quiet rebellion of love. A Kingdom where God makes our broken world whole.

This means peace. This means joy. This means hope.

“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.” Read more.
